Book – Last Train from Paris

Last Train From ParisLast Train From Paris

The Last Train from Paris is a poignant story of a painter and ballerina who fall in love against the deplorable backdrop of Nazi-occupied Paris in 1944.

Loosely based on the real-life adventure of the famous painter, Joan Miró, who escaped France with his family and entire portfolio, the story illustrates how the power of art, love, and personal conviction can transcend despair and heal the human spirit.

My novel is an epic drama inspired by a painting of Miró entitled The Woman with Fair Armpit Dressing Her Hair by the Light of the Stars.

Created for the Constellation Series, the painting is an abstract composition that reflects the imminence of war and exhibits Miro’s radical escape from reality.
